2019 was a wonderful year for SCS with our record setting, critically acclaimed summer season and an expanding educational program. With the improvements and updates in-store 2020 promises to be even better.
To kick off the new year, SCS welcomes a new Managing Director, Larry Mabrey. Larry brings over 30 years of experience, most recently as Executive Director of Circus Flora in St. Louis.
If you’re not sure what a Managing Director does, you’re not alone. Larry will co-manage the company along with Mike Ryan, our Artistic Director. Larry’s responsibilities will include the management of the non-artistic side of the company which encompasses operational management, budgetary and financial planning, Development (fundraising and grants), and Marketing. In the theater he will be responsible for your front of house experience including the box office, parking and concessions. It’s a challenging and varied role, and with the plans we have for the coming year and beyond, we’re fortunate to have such an experienced individual joining our team.
SCS will be announcing the 2020 Season productions in the next week, so please stay tuned to hear the line-up and hear about some new improvements to The Grove that we are excited to share with you!
