SC SENTINEL: SCS presents fringe ‘Candide’

Santa Cruz Shakespeare presents its all-intern “fringe” production with two performances of Voltaire’s “Candide,” directed by Kate Jopson.

“Candide” will be presented Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 29 and 30, both shows at 7:30 p.m. at the Grove at DeLaveaga Park as part of Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s 2017 summer season. Tuesday’s show will feature a post-show discussion of the themes in “Candide.”

“Candide” is suitable for well-prepared high school students who are able to handle themes of violence and sexuality. Please use your discretion when purchasing youth tickets.
