Move dirt around Ground was broken at The Grove on April 2, and soon after, SCS worked with City of Santa Cruz departments to achieve a balance between aesthetics, accessibility, and safety in the theater design. Transform a meadow into a theater Headed by Slatter Construction, and supported by donations from local companies, the build began in earnest. The small but dedicated staff of SCS plus a core group of community volunteers worked tirelessly over a mere 10 weeks in tandem with the construction crew to make it happen. Thank everyone who helped make the dream a reality. Thank you to our community of supporters who gave to our campaign and continue to give. Add audiences, actors, and artists!
