MAHOLO MONDAYS for SCS at Hula’s Island Grill

SCS has been selected by Hula’s Island Grill for it’s Mahalo Monday fundraising program for the whole month of Augus!. Hula’s will donate 10% of its sales every Monday in AUGUST to SCS so stop by Hula’s Island Grill on Mondays, mention you are dining or drinking for SCS, and enjoy a fantastic meal & yummy tiki drink and help support SCS!

SCS RAFFLE: WIN A TRIP TO THE OREGON SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL

PARTICIPATE IN OUR RAFFLE: This season we’re holding a raffle for two people to win passage on our annual trip to Oregon Shakespeare Festival! October 2-6, two lucky winners will receive luxury coach transportation to Ashland, tickets to see five plays, a four night hotel stay, a group dinner, AND literary salons with Artistic Director Mike Ryan and Dramaturgy consultant Michael Warren. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office or Concessions booths at the Grove. 1 tix/$15, 3 for $40, and 5 for $50.

The SCS Sessions are a series of Q&A events and overview discussions with the SCS creative team and actors of the season’s Shakespeare plays. Free to the public.

Join Shakespeare scholars and artists for two days of lectures, discussions, and demonstrations about the 2019 Season’s mainstage Shakespeare productions The Winter’s Tale and The Comedy of Errors. Weekend With Shakespeare will be at Humanities 1 Building, UCSC.

Weekend with Shakespeare Lecture Series: The Weekend With Shakespeare Lecture Series is free! However, we suggest interested participants RSVP through our website.

Weekend with Shakespeare is sponsored in partnership with Shakespeare Workshop, a program sponsored by The Humanities Institute at UC Santa Cruz.

12:15-1:15PM Q&A with actors from The Winter’s Tale, moderated by Artistic Director Mike Ryan.
1:15-1:30PM Break.
1:30-2:30PM In conversation with Ariane Helou, dramaturg of The Winter’s Tale.
2:30-3PM Break with refreshments.
3-4PM In conversation with Professor Sandra Logan and SCS actor Tommy Gomez.

3-4PM Presentation with Mike Ryan and The Comedy of Errors director Kirsten Brandt on “The opportunities and challenges using one actor to represent twins.”
