A Winter’s Tale Remix is a melding of theatre and jazz, in this production, Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale receives a reimagining by Santa Cruz Shakespeare actor Tommy Gomez and the Le Boeuf Brothers, an acclaimed jazz ensemble with local roots. This co-presentation supports the nonprofit education programs of both Santa Cruz Shakespeare & Kuumbwa Jazz.

The SCS Sessions are a series of Q&A events, discussions with the SCS creative team and actors including a literary

overview of the season’s Shakespeare plays. Free to the public.

• SPOTLIGHT on DIRECTORS & DESIGNERS – Monday, July 1 at The Nick 12-1pm, Q&A featuring directors & designers from the 2019 season.

• LITERARY SALON – NEW DATE: Tuesday, July 16 at The SC Downtown Library from 6-7pm
  featuring SCS Textual Consultant and UCSC Emeritus Professor Dr. Michael Warren.
  NOTE: Former event date on season brochure was July 10, new event date is Tuesday, July 16.

• ACTORS CONNECT – Friday, July 19 at The Nick 12-1pm, Q&A featuring actors from the season’s company.

• NEXGEN: The Intern Co. – Friday, August 16 12-1pm, Q&A featuring our intern company.

Join Shakespeare scholars and artists for two days of lectures, discussions, and demonstrations about the 2019 Season’s mainstage Shakespeare productions The Winter’s Tale and The Comedy of Errors.

Weekend with Shakespeare Lecture Series: The Weekend With Shakespeare Lecture Series is free! However, we suggest interested participants RSVP through our website. The RSVP link will be open on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. See you there!

Weekend with Shakespeare is sponsored in partnership with Shakespeare Workshop, a program sponsored by The Humanities Institute at UC Santa Cruz.
